Let's Begin at the Beginning
One of our most ancient symbols for the Universal Matrix is the pomegranate of Mesopotamian times, containing within its spherical shape and hexagonal cells the individual entities of our existence.
We know that these same Mesopotamians were already master geometers skilled in surveying, architectural design, astronomy, astrology, and celestial navigation. They combined the 360 degree astrological calendar with the actual 365% day year, and came up with the brilliant idea of measuring both time and space with the same system of 360 days/degrees, 60 minutes and 60 seconds.
Examining these same propositions at the beginning of our cultural epoch, the early Greek geometers and mathematicians search culminated in the Platonic or Ptolmaic Universe. A series of concentric spheres; which rang with the mathematical music of Pythagorus, and was navigated by Euclidian geometry and the syllogistic axioms of Aristotle, and whose pro-portions were derived from the mathematics of the Golden Section.
The Renaissance brings the Heliocentric System of Copernicus, and the Galilean Vision, which, aided by optical technology, allows us to begin to examine the very large and the very small.
This quickly brings us to the Modern Era and our contemporary versions of these cosmologies: the Einstinian universe, nuclear shells, the spectrographic spectrum, quantum mechanics, and the global positioning system.
We are now seeking the cosmology of Cyberspace and it should contain within it or be cogent with previous matrix models as well as those forms and structures peculiar to Cyberspace.
